1. Who we are

Designers Bookshop is a one-person software studio based in the Republic of the Philippines. We make professional tools for designers working in Adobe InDesign.

2. What data we collect

Support and contact. When you email us or use our support form, we collect your name and email address.

Subscription and purchase. Purchases are handled by FastSpring, our authorised reseller. We receive order confirmation data (name, email, product purchased) but not full payment details — FastSpring handles all card and billing data directly.

Website infrastructure. This site is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP address, browser headers) for security and performance purposes. We do not access this data on an individual basis.

Google Fonts. This site loads the Inter typeface from Google's font CDN. When your browser requests the font, your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers. Google may log this per their own privacy policy.

No first-party cookies or analytics. We do not set cookies or run any analytics scripts on this site.

3. How we use your data

We use your contact information solely to respond to your support enquiry or to fulfil and manage your subscription. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as necessary to process your purchase through FastSpring and to serve this site through Cloudflare.

4. Legal basis (EU/EEA users)

If you are located in the EU or EEA, our legal basis for processing your data is:

Contractual necessity — to fulfil and manage your subscription.

Legitimate interest — to respond to support enquiries.

Legal obligation — where required by applicable law.

5. Data retention

Support correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve your issue and for a reasonable period thereafter. Subscription and purchase records are retained as required by Philippine law and by FastSpring's obligations as our reseller.

6. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct inaccurate data, to request erasure, to data portability, and to object to processing.

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the same rights under the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. Third-party services

FastSpring — our authorised reseller and billing platform. FastSpring processes your subscription and payment data under their own privacy policy. See fastspring.com/privacy.

Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare processes request metadata for security and performance. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Google Fonts — we load the Inter typeface from Google's CDN. See policies.google.com/privacy.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside the Republic of the Philippines by FastSpring (United States), Cloudflare (United States), and Google (United States, via Google Fonts CDN). Each of these services maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

9. Children

Our products and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of material changes via the website.
