Release notes for Grid Calculator Publishing Edition — the Adobe InDesign layout plugin.
We’re excited to announce version 1.4 of the Grid Calculator Publishing Edition!
This update features our brand new Layout Wizard. We have built a dedicated web page where you can easily build professional layouts interactively and then seamlessly download them as pre-configured presets to load straight into the plug-in. You will find the new Layout Wizard button located at the top right of the plug-in panel, just under the units dropdown.
We have finally moved to a new server that is available 24/7. Due to this a new version is available that connects to that server.
Action required: To transfer to the new server please contact us. We aim to have everyone starting from version 2027 on the new server.
Grid Calculator PE is now fully compatible with Adobe InDesign 2026 on macOS. This version no longer requires InDesign 2025 to be installed alongside it. Please report any potential issues you encounter.
Due to some issues that will be resolved in a later release, InDesign 2025 must remain installed alongside InDesign 2026 beta for the plugin to run correctly.
This requirement will be lifted once full 2026 support is released.
A confirmation dialog now appears when saving a preset with the same name as an existing one, preventing accidental overwrites.

Presets are now fully stable. Upgrade to 1.1 if you experienced any of these issues.
Apple introduced changes in macOS 15.4 that broke the plugin’s licensing system. This update fixes the issue and ensures compatibility with current and future macOS versions.
Action required: If you installed the plugin before this date, download and run the latest installer from the top of the product page.
